Chillie Sauce

There are a variety of excellent chillie sauces now readily available in most countries. If you would like to make your own, this recipe I learnt in Pakistan is really simple and excellent.

Ingredients

2 tbs vinegar
2 tbs coarsely ground chillie flakes
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste
1 tsp cornflour
half cup water

Method
  1. Mix all above ingredients in a deep bowl, microwave to bring to the boil or add to a saucepan, bring to the boil and switch off.
  2. Cool and store in a bottle, can be stored for up to 4 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen for 3 months.
A really good compliment to mild dishes.
